How we score

Every number on this site can be checked. Here is exactly how they are made.

Five criteria

Each game gets five scores out of 100. The final score is their weighted average, rounded to a whole number. No hidden adjustments, and nobody can pay for a score.

Depth

How much there is to learn, master and discover.

25%
Feel

How good it feels to play minute to minute: controls, flow, satisfaction.

25%
Easy to start

How quickly a new player can get into it.

15%
Replay

How many good hours it gives before it runs out.

20%
Value

What you get for the US list price.

Tiers

Yokozuna

90+

Ozeki

Rematch rounds

Each rematch has five rounds chosen for its genre. Each round goes to one game with a one-line reason. Rounds are editorial judgements and are separate from the score, so a game can lose a rematch and still rank highly.

Demanding

The facts

Release dates, developers, publishers, player counts, cross-play, US list prices and Steam Deck ratings come from Steam as of 20 Oct 2026. Difficulty and playtime are editorial estimates.

Independence

We only cover games sold on Steam. No publisher can buy a score, a position or a place on a game-night list. Store links are plain links to Steam.
